Mmmm! I can’t wait to try these. I suppose you could put in some toasted pumpkin seeds instead of or as well as the nuts. I think I’ll do that. Thanks for sharing. I’m really impressed with the amount of pumpkin that this recipe uses – good and nutritious!

The last time I was at the DOR, there was a deaf couple there. I watched as the automaton DOR employee told them (through notes) that they’d need special permissions to go through a TDD (?) service to get help with their license plate. (or maybe it was that they couldn’t use the TDD phone at that branch, I can’t remember) Either way – they wasted 30 minutes going back and forth only to find out that they’d have to take extra steps, just because of their different abilities.
It’s hard to *not* have a frustrating time at places like that. I’m sorry you had a bad day!

I once tried to count all my freckles. Wasn’t too messy but I spent HOURS in front of that mirror!

This cracks me up. No, the flu isn’t funny, but your take on the hysteria is pretty accurate I’d say. Hysteria of any kind is funny (not hah-ha funny but you know…). It’s interesting to see how things pan out once they hit the media, and to see people’s various responses.

I enjoy your blog a lot, sorry I don’t say hi very often, but I am reading faithfully
